ShowsToGo, Inc. and Michael J. Orlando provided Technical Direction services for a recent program in Salt Lake City. Michael was one of four technical directors for the show that controled all technical aspects of the program. Michael was tasked to be the Broadcast TD and was responsible for the Mobile TV truck and everything it touched including the nearly 30 manned and static cameras in the arena. I also included helping supervise the LED wall and floor, the 14 translation booths and the accompanying Livestream webcasts to each country. The Barco E2 and the D3 media server stations along with the graphics and teleprompters for the screen and DSM feeds. Also included was the broadcast feed to program monitors placed backstage and throughout the hallways. This was a team effort across a 24 hour a day schedule to install and remove.
